The headquarter of the steel and iron plant Beltrame is located in the western part of Vicenza. The covered area is up to 320.000 square metres. The proposed architectural design firstly aims at the renaturation of the area as well as creating a functional complex to serve the administrative needs of the company. It basically means that not only were the architectural and functional aspects taken into account during the design, but the whole area of intervention, beyond the mere planning, was thoroughly considered. 

 

L’intervento progettuale che si propone ha come primo obiettivo la rinaturalizzazione di un'area di oltre 320.000 mq, accanto alla necessità di creare gli spazi funzionali all’attività direzionale dell’azienda. La nuova costruzione è data dal carattere della struttura che ne definisce l’immagine senza superfetazioni linguistiche. La struttura è l’edificio e, viceversa, in una operazione di riduzione assoluta, l’edificio è la sola struttura, da questa ne deriva il carattere e il vigore della sua immagine.
